Biography
Jason Tuenge joined PNNL's Portland Office in 2008 as a Senior Lighting Engineer. He has nine years of work experience in the lighting industry, ranging from manufacturing to specification sales to software development and consulting. Prior to joining PNNL, he was a Senior Lighting Designer at Glumac, an MEP engineering firm in Portland. The current emphasis of his work is in support of the Department of Energy’s market-based programs for Solid State Lighting, e.g. Energy Star and GATEWAY Demonstration Programs. Work assignments include: development of test procedures for standards certification of next generation lighting technologies; testing, demonstration and market development of next generation lighting; development and implementation of commercialization assistance strategies; production of reports on market and technical barriers for next generation lighting; development of energy conservation standards for lighting.
