Biography

Since joining PNNL, Ms. Steward has been involved with the FEMP Utility Management website, Building America, regional building codes, energy efficient lighting, Load as a Resource (Ancillary Services and Demand side bids in the electricity industry), Solid State Lighting (SSL), energy efficient technology, and the GridWise Architecture Council Knowledge Database. She has created or updated websites and databases in MS Access and SQL. She has done technical research to populate a variety of databases. She has researched and analyzed data in energy economics in the electricity industry. She has also written articles and materials for publication in the building technology area. Her current projects involve SSL product testing, an SSL database, the GridWise database, and Building America documentation. In FY05-06, Ms. Steward attended special training sessions on Grid-tie Photovoltaic installation, LED Lighting, GIS and introductory LEED training.

Before joining the Lab, Heidi worked at Oracle, ADP and Tandem Computers. Her extensive background in high tech industry has included database work, software design, quality assurance, process improvement and technical training. She has worked with software, firmware and computer hardware.
