Biography
Todd Samuel joined Battelle\PNNL in 1996 from Westinghouse Hanford Company, where he was a project manager and senior plant engineer for 12 years.
Todd has been the manager of PNNL's Technology Planning & Deployment Group (49 scientists and engineers) in the Energy & Environmental Science & Technology Directorate for the past 5 years. Todd leads business operations at offices in both Richland, Washington, and Portland, Oregon. He has over 25 years of experience in the areas of project management, technology development and field deployment, systems testing, data acquisition and control, and business development.
In his previous assignment at Battelle\PNNL, Todd was a program manager in the Mechanical Engineering & Robotic Systems Group for 7 years, where he successfully led the development and field deployment of several automated electro-mechanical technologies for Energy, Environmental and National Security clients.
Todd has received several awards for his technology development efforts, including an R&D 100 Award (Academy Award of the R&D industry), an Federal Laboratory Consortium Award for outstanding technology commercialization success and two patents for successfully developed and fielded ultrasonics based container inspection technologies.
